2024 Competition Schedule
Littleton Western Welcome Week Parade - 8/17/2024
SCHEDULE:
7:45am Call (Be in the band room with uniform and instrument at 7:45)
8:20am Uniform Inspection and load busses
8:30am Busses depart for Downtown Littleton
9:00am Warm-up and basics in Gallup Park (beginning of parade)
10:00am Parade starts
12:30pm Parade should be over-congratulations!
1:00pm Get Water, Load Busses and return to CCHS
PARADE INFO AND MAP:
*The parade route goes down Littleton Blvd. (from Gallup st.) and ends at
Arapahoe Community College. Parents, I’d recommend parents park at
ACC and walk to Main St./Littleton Blvd. and find a good spot to watch.

Bring food and/or money for concessions if you want snacks after the performance. Parents should pick students up at CCHS Fine Arts at approximately 10:00pm.

NOTE TO PARENTS:
SPECTATOR PARKING...Parking is limited to ONLY handicapped parking in the area of the stadium and parents and staff should plan on arriving with enough time before performances to walk from the parking available within 1⁄2 mile of the stadium at marked businesses and at Angevine Middle School or the Community Medical Center just .8 miles east of the stadium on South Boulder Road.

Notes to Parents
Students should eat breakfast before you come to practice. We don’t need uniform bags for this day, just shako boxes and gauntlet bags on the bus.
The band will only be participating in the Prelims for Legacy

Notes to Parents
Students should eat breakfast before they arrive at practice on Saturday morning. Students should bring lunch as it will be on their own. The BPA is not providing any food until dinner.
Students should bring snacks/money for concessions if you think you’ll need more food than we provide.
Students need to wear this year’s band shirt under their uniform.

Approved Bags- CLEAR PLASTIC BAGS:
Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12"W x 12" x 12"H. One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
Small clutch bag/fanny pack approximately the size of a hand (5.5" x 7.5" or smaller). with or without a handle or strap. This can be carried separately or within a plastic bag.
All other bags are prohibited when entering the venue
Per Colorado Band Association:
All spectators will need to clear base security checkpoints to gain access to the show. To speed this process up all of your parents can be pre-screened using the link below They will only need to show the drivers license and be admitted without the vehicle search. Feel free to communicate this with your parents.

Spectator and Bus Entrance into the Air Force Academy: all buses (charter, school district), private cars, min-vans carrying spectators, RV’s, etc. will enter the Academy ground via the North Entrance (Exit 156 off of I 25). This gate opens at 6:00 a.m. Drivers must produce a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and vehicle registration.
Spectator Parking- Free parking! Spectators are asked to follow signage and park in Lot 1 on the south side. Lot 2 that has been used in the past is CLOSED, all parking will be in Lot 1. Lot 1 still provides direct access to Gate 3 and handicap parking. Handicapped parking is available as marked on the map.
Handicap Parking- Handicap parking is located in Lot 1 directly south of the scoreboard. Volunteers will be operating a courtesy shuttle for guests needing further assistance to the stadium south entrance.
AFA is Cashless: Please plan to use debit or credit when purchasing any concessions while at the AirForce Academy.
